It’s been a big year, at first having the studio built and then me putting the floor down by myself. 3 m of river gravel shifted in 3 hours- no soreness- the result of training with double kettlebells. That felt pretty awesome. But this is not about me, but rather what is in it for you- my client.

Because of the way the facility is set up it is possible to be extremely flexible with training times and schedules. That has been very rewarding, and my clients are grateful for it.
My travel to the States and qualifying as the first and oldest female RKC in Queensland has enabled me to bring back a whole host of tools to assist my clients get better and faster results.

Some of the typical comments after only 2-3 sessions are:

‘I feel a lot stronger’, ‘I feel myself standing a lot straighter’,

And after training for some time:

‘my arms have changed’, ‘I feel a lot better about myself’….

Milestones some of my clients have passed:

Chris – confidence with a 16kg Turkish getup on both sides even though one knee doesn’t like any pressure on it

Sharon – from struggling with the bodyweight getup to doing them confidently with 12 kg in 12 months
– gaining thinness by 14kg this year and having arm definition

Jo – pressing 14 kg kettlebells overhead and doing getups with 16kg for reps; and being much fitter for touch football

Shaun – getting comfortable with overhead carries due to unlocking of the upper spine

Dan – improving his mountain biking race time as carryover from training kettlebells

Nathan – gaining much greater range of movement

Hiroko – completing single leg dead lifts with 10 kg, after not being strong enough to do bodyweight ones
– improved mobility in the spine

Clients touching their toes for the first time after only one session

This has allowed me the opportunity to assist elite ballroom dancers to improve their already impressive flexibility

Branching out into teaching sourdough bread making has proved to be worth the effort as well.

Finally associating with the Cap Coast Derby Dolls as a team member and their strength trainer will prove to be a winner
