What does it mean to be courageous?

Where and how does it apply?

What does it mean in my life? Your life?
Immediately fear came into my head. And my dance lessons. Movement restrictions, freedom. I am constantly challenged to reach further, extend more, increase power, move more forward or back. I know my body can do it, but somehow it won’t – that tiny, inzy-winzy voice in my body says: “I am so scared. I know I can, I know I am able to, but still being scared is holding me back.”
And really, what I am encountering in my dance lessons is symbolic for everything else in my life.
I wonder if, when I can move with total abandon and the control that goes with that, other aspects in my life will be more bold……or if I approached my life with even less fear to what I now have that my dance will be even more free moving?
So true courage is doing or being something/someone outside the comfort zone, stepping into the fear zone. Being authentically you, not playing some role that someone – even myself – has imposed on me for reasons that once might have served us, but definitely don’t serve any more.

In the end being courageous plays in with trusting – your or myself and trusting in God or whatever your word is for that Higher Energy.

Courage

Do it anyway

stop the inner chatter

look out

look in and boldly go ahead.

If you can see it

or not

if you can feel it

or not

just go with it

couraeously

anyway,

regardless of fear, mistrust.

Let’s Go!
